Walkingspree in the Community

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (May 11, 2019) — The American Heart Association puts together an annual Heart Walk to raise awareness for stroke and heart disease. This year, a group of our team attended the New Braunfels event to support the cause and showcase walking into wellness.

Walkingspree donated towards CHRISTUS Health and showed up to cheer them on for their charitable efforts. Not only is CHRISTUS Health a Walkingspree user, but they were also one of the biggest sponsors for the AHA Heart Walk in New Braunfels this year.

At Walkingspree, we believe that where movement goes, health flows. According to the AHA, a sedentary lifestyle can drastically increase the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and stroke. Walkingspree\’s programs help to reduce this factor by encouraging employees to get active through fun walking challenges. Walking just 30 minutes a day can lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, promote healthy weight-loss, and aid in maintaining a healthy weight.

Overall, Walkingspree was glad to be a part of this event and support the American Heart Association, CHRISTUS Health, and the New Braunfels community. We look forward to continuing to spread health and wellness through our programs.
